a single mother to three radiant souls and a fine art wedding and editorial photographer who has spent
over 17 years weaving magic into moments.
I am the dreamer, the creator, and the curator behind cūra.
Here is my story...
After walking through the hardest years of my life, an eighteen year marriage ending and a slow and painful rediscovery of who I am, I began to understand that women need a place to take their life off for a few days and breathe again. A place where beauty heals.
cūra was born from everything I hold sacred, travel, photography, beauty, the glorious human soul, and the divine thats pulsing through all things. cūra is a five to seven day journey across Iceland, and now, the wild deserts of America (and high hopes of expanding to so many places!). Me and my team plan your stays, map your hikes and adventures, plan places to eat, and drive you through landscapes so breathtaking they feel like prayer. All you have to do is show up, open your heart, and let beauty do what it does best, restore you.
Throughout the experience, I photograph your unfolding, the quiet moments and the wild ones, the laughter and the stillness. When you return home, you carry with you not only what you felt, but a gallery of images that tell the story of your becoming.

Where waterfalls pour like silver, the sky dances in light,
and the land stirs something ancient within you.
Almost ten years ago, I stepped into Iceland, a land so mystical it felt like a dream. I watched her sky dance in colors. This land is a holy sanctuary of fire and ice that changed me forever.
Since then, I’ve returned again and again, guiding women into its wild magic and photographing their unfolding in its sacred light.
THE DESERTS
Utah • Arizona • The American Southwest
Years before Iceland ever called me, I stood in the red dust of Sedona where the desert air hummed with spirit and the sun poured gold over the rocks. The stillness felt holy, the beauty raw and unguarded.
Last year in Zion, surrounded by canyon walls that rose like cathedrals, I felt that same pulse of divinity. The desert is a mirror, both fierce and tender, showing you who you are when everything else falls away. It is where warmth and wonder meet, and where the soul finally exhales.
In time, I dream of expanding cūra into other sacred landscapes: the volcanic shores of Hawaii, the wide skies of Montana, the grand Teton mountains, the white sands of New Mexico, the golden ridges of my home in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and the ethereal light and winter of the Laplands and the Faroe Islands. Each place calls with its own voice, yet the intention remains the same, to gather women where wonder still breathes, and to let the earth remind us how divine it is to simply be alive.

It carries the same devotion to storytelling, but invites you to step into the frame yourself, to be both witness and subject, muse and masterpiece.
Many experiences promise adventure, but cūra is something more. It is a living, breathing soul story. As you step into your most radiant self, I will be there, not simply as a photographer but as a storyteller, translating your essence into light and shadow, into movement and stillness, into portraits and storytelling imagery that feel like poetry.
This is about seeing you. The way you shine. The way you belong to the world around you. When you leave, you’ll carry the land within you, stitched quietly between every photograph.

Jessica's Story
cūra is an adventure into the unknown with the unknown. It encourages you to be brave, test your limits, shed others' expectations, and bare yourself. It rewards you with authentic beauty, both in the miraculous sights you see and the beautiful souls you behold and that hold you. Laughter, tears, enchantment, wonder, fear, and courage are all things you’ll experience.
Iceland itself is wild and unruly and beats to its own drum, urging you to do the same. In the end, you rediscover connection to the world, to others, and most importantly, to yourself. It is truly a healing experience for souls in need.
